Iron Mt MTB Endurance Race

Post Race Activities:
We plan to have a Music, Food and Fellowship under the big top tent.
Course direction and flow:
Start will be at the Spillway Area. The Fist 2.3 Miles will be on Pavement (CR18) heading west. On the Left after this distance will be a dirt road. Turn left and turn Left the far leg of the Green trail. Follow to the Base of the Mountain. Take Paved road across the river and and continue on pavement after crossing river bridge for roughly 300 Yards. Turn left on to Yellow trail and Follow back to the Spillway Area. This is the end of the Start loop.
From the Spillway follow yellow to green to orange to blue, back to orange, on to green and using yellow to returm to the Spillway area. That is end of lap one. One more lap of this same route will complete the course. Direction of flow is counter clockwise.
There are five events in the 2014 AMMS.
You must complete two of the five events to be ranked.
Up to three events can count towards your series end rankings

Race #2 - The Spa City Extreme 6 Hr Mountain Bike Race
Note: Lap Count and Time will be taken at the completion of the 6 hour event.

|MTB Endurance Event Details
This will be a Mass Start event.
All riders must slow their bikes through the timing zone.
Riders will be required to check in after completion of each lap.
Team Relay handoff: Teams will need to estimate the completion time of laps in order to have the next rider waiting in the Transition Zone for the Exchange. All team riders must clear their bikes from the timing area bike after exchanging riders.
Basic Team Rules: Good etiquette is expected to be practiced on the course. Riders can ride in any order they wish. Teams can change the order of their riders. Each rider from a team must complete at least one lap. One person must be designated as the Captain of the team.
